This year we had the normal children’s Prize Giving disco in January, which is a great occasion for a lot of the swimmers to get together and have a good time.   It was held at Manor Farm Football Club this year and it was well supported by the swimmers parents and coaches but I'm sure we could get more people to attend the 2010 prize giving

The Dinner Dance was at the Novetel hotel this year and was well attended by our adult swimmers and members of the club. Speed parents were out in force which was great to see so for 2010 it would be great to see more synchro parents and coaches attend. Maybe for 2010 we will have a themed night ?? any suggestions to me please.

Both these events are not primarily fundraisers but there was a small amount raised as a result of raffles and other games being held on the night.

In June we held a Mama Mia fancy dress and kareoke/disco again well supported by speed and womens water polo (who all looked great) photos still on website A small profit was made but what a great night to see all those coaches up and singing !!

It was suggested that the club had a Halloween party and a Christmas party but with the Uni pool being closed due to the fire co-ordinating and agreeing this was not possible (so watch this space for 2010).

It would be great to see any other social event suggestions put forward.  All would be considered and it’s a great way for the swimmers, parents and coaches to get together away from the pool

We need to try harder to get all three disciplines to support social events within the clubs in the coming year
