This year we had the normal children’s Prize Giving disco in January, which is a great occasion for a lot of the swimmers to get together and have a good time.  We usually run it at Manor Farm Football Club, however their function area has now been burnt down and I am trying to find another location.  If you would like to recommend somewhere that could hold this function for about 80/100 people please let me know.

The Dinner Dance was at the Thistle hotel this year and was well attended by our adult swimmers and members of the club.  Please feel free to come even if you are quite new to the club, it’s a good way to meet other parents and coaches.

Both these events are not primarily fundraisers but there was a small amount raised as a result of raffles and other games being held on the night.

Later in the year we held a Race Night which was a great success, both financially and the sheer enjoyment had by all attending.  It was great fun and I am looking to arrange another this coming year.

As ever I am always looking for new events we can run both for fundraising and just a good excuse for the whole club to get together socially. Please let me know if you have any suggestions for me to work on or are willing to share the load!

Finally a big thank you to all of you that have helped me with these events and in particular thanks to all who attended - I know a good time was had by all and we hope to see more of you at the events this year.
