As well as our regular club training sessions, Central is a very active participant in the Western Counties squad training programme.
Swimmers are selected for the three training squads (Talent ID, Academy Development and Academy Elite) from clubs throughout the Western Counties region. This provides opportunities for the squad members to mix with other swimmers at similar skill and ability levels, whilst receiving specialist training in the many different aspects of synchronised swimming.
Training sessions are held at the Quantock Lodge facilities near Over Stowey in Somerset (see the locations page for a map). They are usually one or two day sessions, running roughly once a month (see the schedule for more details). Places in the squads are limited, so swimmers invited to join the squads would be expected to attend all sessions.
